My mother and my two aunts depend on me every day to eat, stay safe, attend medical appointments, and live in a dignified home.
Since April 9, 2026, I have been in Maracaibo responsible for their care. They cannot be left alone, and since then I have not been able to return to work normally.
This is not a one-day emergency. It is a situation of dependence and ongoing care.
I returned to Maracaibo to care for my mother and my two aunts. The three of them are sisters and can no longer manage daily life on their own.
In this home, we live with dementia, intellectual disability, seizures, loss of independence, difficulty walking, incontinence, and episodes of confusion. They need supervision to eat, bathe, move around, and remain safe.
They cannot be left alone: they may become disoriented, consume all the food, use the kitchen unsafely, or leave the house without understanding the danger. That is why my work and my former life came to a halt.
